Heather’s Tree: Stop Domestic Violence

Heather Spencer was a beautiful girl inside and out. She was a year younger than me, our mother’s were good friends, we went to the same school, and my family always sat in the row behind her’s in church every week. Her life was cut short due to domestic violence. Domestic Violence doesn’t match with a girl like Heather. Though, anyone who know a victim of domestic violence, also knows it can easily happen to anyone.

Her friends and family came together to bring something positive out of this tragedy. The started Heather’s T.R.E.E., focusing on Training, Resources, Education and Empowerment regarding domestic violence and how to help yourself or a loved one who finds themselves in this type situation.

I jumped at the opportunity to do something to help this awesome organization by donating items for their annual fundraiser’s silent auction.
