Christmas Ornament Wreath

5 Dec

This wreath is easy to make. I should know, since I have done it twice. Do NOT store this wreath in an attic!  Apparently it does get hot enough to melt hot glue here in the South. See how to make your own festive wreath!

This is what you will need.

1. Lost of ornaments! You may want to buy the ones that do not shatter and save yourself from a painful and/or messy clean up.

2. Foam form

3. Thin wire

4. Scissors of wire cutters

5. Lots of hot glue and a hot glue gun.

These are the steps.

1. Cover your surface to prevent damage from dripping glue.

2. Cover or paint your foam form. This helps from overloading your wreath with ornaments just to cover any showing of the form.

3. Attach the ribbon for hanging you wreath.

4. Glue a base of ornaments around your form. I placed mine along the inside edge so that they stick out some to hide the center circle. If you add ornaments along the center circle they have be small.  Otherwise,  you will loose the shape of the wreath by covering circular shape of the cutout.

5. Take your wire and  thread  it through the holes where the ornament hangers go, then around the form and keep going all around your wreath. If you run out of wire work the end back into the form and put some glue on top of it or in twine it with a new piece of wire and keep going.

6. Build up your form with more ornaments and you are done!
