Recycling + Kid’s craft project = purposeful item

My Favorite kind of projects!

1. Take an empty cereal box and cut apart so that you have two large pieces of cardboard. You can also use any cardboard that comes as packaging, like with dishes or toys.

2. Use adhesive spray on the outside portion of the box.  Apply scrap book paper, your child’s artwork, or left over wrapping paper.

3. Cut out your tags. I used the lines on my cutting mat, a ruler, and an exacto knife. You don’t have to be exact.

4. Make your dear head with your child’s thumb print. You can also make snowmen in the same way!

5. After this dries, draw the eyes, antlers, and trace with a black pen. I used a pen with a felt like end. You can find a variety of these in any craft store and they are great for many projects.

6.Add the red nose by dipping the end of a paint brush or Q-tip into red paint and applying it to your deer.

7. Add a hole punch to your tag and string.
