Logo design is hard. Hard for the client, and hard for the designer. It’s like having your first child. You have hopes, fears, and high expectations, but no idea what to expect. Logos are visual beginning of the branding family. I do not think this is the most successful logo for the identity of the company, but I am playing the role of the Grandparent. I can only offer advise, it’s not my child raise.

If you are familiar with Chanel and Fendi, then you have seen the work of the famous fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld. Karl Lagerfeld lends his style and his famous silhouette to dress the Coca-Cola light aluminum bottle. The exclusive creation includes a unique box in limited edition, accompanied with a bottle-opener discreetly hidden in a drawer. This sounds like a good branding strategy, but Diet coke is attaching more than high fashion to their image with this venture.

What up Kidz!

Substituting the letter Z for an S is a popular form of slang, I can deal with
that. Seeing the words in print to promote a business is something I cannot understand, and a neurotic pet peeve of mine. Is Krazy Al going to give me a better deal on my new car than if he was just plain Crazy? Is the Kidz Corner really more fun than Kid’s corner? Should it really be the magical world
of Dizney?

Disney knows How to Market Their Products

In the beginning, when my growth as a mom only extended to the length of
my pregnant belly I boldly stated,”I am NOT going to have any off that tacky character crap in my house!” Never say never. For weeks I thought my two year old daughter was talking about a child at daycare named Belle, until she went crazy in Target at the sight of the Disney princess, yelling, “Belle! Belle!” She was the kind of blissfully happy that we envy as adults, how could I
deny her?
