Hand Drawn Type

Words That Breathe

24 Jun

This is a film made by the attendees of Shelley Gruendler’s, who works with Typecamp, Typography workshop at the 2010 How Conference. This was a really great exercise, where we wrote down a word that described type on a note card. Then on a second card, we altered the word to express it’s meaning. On a third card, we wrote the word down again, but altered the word to look like the halfway point between the first and second card. The result was an animation of regular characters growing into a different design. Can you tell which one is mine? If you can guess my word I will give you a FREE ” I heart fonts” shirt!
